A leader who cares

Patrick's Plan for our Future
Invest in Education — As an educator himself, Patrick believes that our public education system is the key to a future where everyone has an opportunity to thrive. He believes that we should pay and treat teachers like the professionals they are, provide a foundation for academic excellence, and make sure Manchester and East Hartford schools are getting their fair share from the capitol.
Address the Housing Crisis — Housing costs, both for owners and renters, both in our towns and statewide, are out of control. Patrick supports smart-growth policies that incentivize and prioritize responsible housing starts, as well as programs like MyHomeCT that provide assistance for first-time buyers. He believes in making sure everyone has access to shelter.
Cut Taxes for the Middle Class — Patrick supports the recent Democratic tax cuts for our middle- and working-class families, and believes that Hartford’s tax policy should always be putting families and small businesses first. He’ll continue working towards state support for lowering local car and house taxes, as well as for closing corporate tax loopholes and ensuring that the ultra-wealthy & large corporations are pulling their weight in our society.
Defend Choice and Women’s Rights — Reproductive rights are just that: a right, no matter what extremist Republicans in Washington, D.C., or on the Supreme Court say. Patrick will fight to keep Connecticut a firewall against these encroachments on our freedom, defending choice here at home, and making sure everyone has the right to start a family when they decide it’s right for them.
Protect Local Manufacturing — Manufacturing is a critical part of our local economy, providing good, high-paying, union jobs to our residents. Patrick supports programs like the Manufacturing Jobs Pipeline, and knows that companies like Pratt & Whitney will stay in Connecticut for as long as we’re able to meet their workforce needs. That means job training, and funding a public education system worthy of high-tech manufacturing.
